Rachels's Beautiful Family Shoot

This Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph Rachel and her beautiful family in Inglewood! They were a blast, and so photogenic that it made my job easy! Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Curb Appeal

So its been awhile since I have actually posted anything on our reno instead of my photography, so I thought I would catch you all up on what we have done ALL summer!

We have almost felt like with our "real jobs",  renoing and my photography we haven't had a time to enjoy the summer but in retrospect that all we have done is enjoy the weather! We have been landscaping our butts off...and what a difference! There are plants and flowers and trees oh my! A stone patio, a fire pit, and a small garden were created and all those add the final touches that this yard was crying out for!

If that wasn't enough we were also a little tired of being the "eye sores" of the neighborhood so we have painted the exterior of the house! It has brought such life to it! It is no longer the sad, old brown house, its new and completely rejuvenated. The main house color is called Normandy ( blue, grey) and the trim is called Falling Snow (off white) all from Home Depot (however the actually colors are Benjamin Moore. *Cost saver tip: Home Depot has all of Benjamin Moore's color recipes and they charge almost half the price per gallon for the same or better product!!!) We bought the Exterior paint and primer in one, and I HIGHLY recommend this as you never really realize how big your house is until you are hand scrapping the cedar siding and have to paint multiple coats. I also painted our front door Asparagus (lime green) to add a punch to the front, just until we can install our beautiful, stained wood door. A new roof was added to the upper roof as well in a charcoal and black color to make the white trim pop. So take a look at the final product! Drum Roll Please......

Before

After

The after picture isn't quite finished, hence the brown on the chimney. Also eventually the front lower roof will be extended and a porch created, as well as a vaulted gable end over the front door to add some interest! Some much to do and so little time in the summer! :)

Last weekend I has the absolute pleasure of meeting Josh, Lisa, their three kidlettes and oh ya and their entire extended family! They are an beautiful family, and loved meeting every one of them from baby Addison to Grandma! Check out the shoot we had down at the old army barrics, and at an inner city park on the hottest day of the year!
